Therapeutic Support Worker

Do you have experience working with pupils who have an EHCP that require a therapeutic and holistic approach to their learning?

I am seeking passionate and engaging Therapeutic Support Workers who want to provide meaningful and essential support to vulnerable children who require it most!

I am working with SEND school looking for Therapeutic Support Workers for their primary and secondary provisions, supporting children with significant, complex behaviour challenges and ASC. Home schooling will have been incredibly tough without the support of this specialist school and they really need you now more than ever!

The school is growing, so aspiring counsellors and teachers are encouraged to apply as there will be opportunities to develop into these roles for the coming academic year!

 

Therapeutic Support Worker Requirements

  • Experience of working with children/young people with Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties and learning difficulties, speech and communication difficulties or experience with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, mental health issues
  • Learning Support / Teaching Assistant / Therapeutic Support Worker experience
  • Ability to be nurturing and caring
  • Proactive, flexible and willing approach
  • Ability to build rapport with disengaged students
  • Patience and understanding of the difficulties surrounding children’s return to school
