Are you a Qualified Teacher looking to work in a SEND environment?

We are working with a fantastic school to find someone to lead a class of students with SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health). Within this unique role, you and an additional teacher will lead a small class of up to 8 students, sharing in teaching and lesson planning, with management on the class and who does what being in you and your partner teacher’s hands.

The school is very accommodating of those looking to move into a SEND environment whilst also providing new experiences for those who have previous SEND experience. They provide their teachers with a brand-new Mac Book for work, and teachers finish at 15:15, with no expectations to stay later unless there is training, or they wish to stay behind to plan with their partner teacher.

Additionally, there are vacancies across all the London sites; all within vicinity of one another within Southwark, with the successful candidate being able to work within either their KS1, 2 or 3 / 4 site.

I am looking for a Qualified SENCO to fill a position within a fantastic SEND School with an Autism ARP. The successful candidate will work with the head of the ARP and others within the school to support students with EHCPs – with their additional resource provision specialising in Autism, with most students being verbal and some having complex needs. They are looking for someone to join the team in January 2025, potentially with a short period of time where they will take over from the existing SENCO. The role would involve leading a class working with a mixture of ages between 16 to 25, working at different levels. The role would be teaching four days a week with the fifth day dedicated to PPA and training. The lecturer in question would may assist in some of the curriculum development – which revolves mainly around independent living, health and relationships.
