Within this unique role, you and your partner teacher will lead a small class of up to 8 students, sharing in teaching the students, marking and planning, with complete management of the class up to the two teachers. With this layout, this not only gives teachers the opportunities to teach to their strengths, but also to have half the marking and planning. The school is very accommodating of those looking to move into a SEND environment whilst also providing new experiences for those who have previous SEND experience. They provide their teachers with a brand-new Mac Book for work, and teachers finish at 15:15, with no expectations to stay later unless there is training, or they wish to stay behind to plan with their partner teacher. And the Teacher will have their pick of year group to teach, with multiple sites spanning KS1 to 4, all within range of each other. As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting pupils' education, advancing their learning, and providing targeted interventions. The role involves collaboration with various staff members, including the SENCo, subject leads, and the pastoral team, to deliver specialized support. Key Responsibilities: To deliver individual and group learning activities to advance pupils’ learning. To conduct small group teaching and one-to-one sessions under the guidance of the SENCo and subject leads. To manage and develop key areas within the school, contributing to policy and system enhancements. Knowledge of relevant learning strategies and safeguarding protocols. Competence in tailoring interventions to individual pupil needs. I am looking for a Qualified SENCO to fill a position within a fantastic SEND School with an Autism ARP. The successful candidate will work with the head of the ARP and others within the school to support students with EHCPs – with their additional resource provision specialising in Autism, with most students being verbal and some having complex needs. They are looking for someone to join the team in January 2025, potentially with a short period of time where they will take over from the existing SENCO. SEND Lecturer Monday to Friday (4 days teaching, 1 day PPA) £160 to £250 a day (PAYE) South London - Southwark Immediate or September 2025 Start Available Are you looking for a rewarding role teaching SEND students with support, caring management and a bespoke environment? We are working with a fantastic SEND School to find a teacher to teach a class of 6 to 8 students with Autism and PMLD needs whilst supported by several SEND Teaching Assistants. The role would involve leading a class working with a mixture of ages between 16 to 25, working at different levels. The role would be teaching four days a week with the fifth day dedicated to PPA and training. The lecturer in question would may assist in some of the curriculum development – which revolves mainly around independent living, health and relationships. The team at the school are extremely supportive and training is provided to staff by external and internal teams such as the onsite therapists. Additionally on-site parking is available for those looking to drive to the school.
