This specialist SEND school based in North London caters for students with ASC, ADHD, speech and language communication needs and other complex needs. The team are extremely passionate and prides itself on creating an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome and where learners can overcome challenges and build confidence. In September they are looking for a Nurture Teacher to join their supportive team.
About the Role of Nurture Teacher:
This Nurture Teacher role will give you the opportunity to work in a successful and supportive environment and to be a part of a friendly team that all believe in the same values and put the needs of the students first. You will deliver personalised and engaging lessons to small groups of students with complex needs; some of the students will be non-verbal, so implementing communication strategies, such as using Makaton, PECS and visual schedules to aid learning. You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team, including therapists and behaviour specialists to help create tailored support plans.
Requirements for Nurture Teacher:
Qualified Teacher (QTS/QTLS)
Unqualified Teacher with experience teaching young people with SEND
Experience working with children with ASC, ADHD and SEMH needs in nurturing or specialist settings
Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches, sensory needs and behaviour management
A passion for helping students develop confidence and independence

We are working with an SEN specialist school based in North London that is seeking an Early Years SEND Specialist Teacher to start with them after Easter. The school caters to students with complex needs, with a high percentage of ASC and non-verbal students. We are working with a therapeutic SEMH/ASC setting seeking a Deputy Headteacher to start after Easter following an internal promotion. The primary SEMH setting based in East London is a therapeutic holistic special school setting that have a founding principle of nurture.
The Deputy Headteacher role will be supporting the popular Headteacher who has been in post for numerous years and has built a solid staff team.
The role will initially start on a temporary contract with a view to being permanent from September following a permanent recruitment process, if it is a good fit on both sides.
Due to the urgency of the role and the immediate start, the school requires a strong primary curriculum leader with outstanding teaching and learning abilities and a resilient management approach.
