Parker Smith Inclusion is thrilled to announce a partnership with a primary school seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Learning Support Assistant. This rewarding role involves supporting a non-verbal student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and some levels of challenging behaviour.
Position Details:
- Role: 1:1 Learning Support Assistant
- Student: Year 2 student progressing to Year 3 in September
- Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Term Time Only
- Pay: £85 - £95 per day (PAYE)
- Contract: Temp to Perm
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to a non-verbal student with ASD.
- Assist with daily activities and classroom tasks.
- Implement strategies to manage and reduce challenging behaviours.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with ASD and challenging behaviours.
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to the well-being and development of the student.
