Join Our Team: 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (Non-Verbal ASD, SEMH, ADHD)
Parker Smith Inclusion is excited to announce a partnership with a secondary school that is looking for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Learning Support Assistant. This crucial role involves supporting a non-verbal student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and some levels of challenging behaviour.
Position Details:
- Role: 1:1 Learning Support Assistant
- Student: Year 9 to Year 11
- Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Term Time Only
- Pay: £95 - £110 per day (PAYE)
- Contract: Temp to Perm
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to a non-verbal student with ASD, SEMH, and ADHD.
- Assist with daily academic activities and classroom tasks.
- Implement strategies to manage and reduce challenging behaviours.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and challenging behaviours.
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to the well-being and development of the student.
