1:1 Secondary School Teaching Assistant and Mentor
£95 - £105 per day PAYE
Monday - Friday
I am actively seeking an engaging, sporty and passionate Teaching Assistant and Mentor for a secondary school in Croydon. Even if your experience is informal/voluntary, I want to hear from you! The children you will support will have a variety of needs which can include significant complex behaviour challenges and associated SEN needs such as Autism and ADHD.
We support Education providers that educate children and young people who for many reasons cannot access any other formal educational settings – these are the most vulnerable, at risk and hard to reach in our community. Understanding their social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) must be met before any academic development can happen. Understanding their SEMH needs is essential in these roles and we are seeking individuals who can make a positive impact in their lives.
The ideal candidate will have:
● Some experience of working with Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties and learning difficulties or experience with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication.
● Youth Worker experience and/or a sporty background is beneficial.
● Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships.
● A passion for working within SEND is essential.
