I am working with a really wonderful school in the London borough of Camden who are currently seeking 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team.

The school’s core values include teaching children the skills that enable them to become kind, thoughtful and sensitive members of the community, and they are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants who can help them with upholding these values.

They are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants with caring and patient personalities who help support a pupil with autism who needs help with social skills, and a pupil who needs support with social and emotional skills.

Requirements of a SEND Teaching Assistant:

  • A kind personality, able to provide a calming an engaging presence.
  • A willingness to support pupils with social and emotional skills and interactions to help prepare them for the future.
  • An enjoyment in working as part of a team, with the ability to build rapport quickly with staff and students.
  • Experience in the education or Special Educational Needs sector is ideal, however this school are happy to consider anyone with a willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
