Are you passionate about working with children with special educational needs?

Do you want to work in a school with a strong sense of community?

Do you want the chance to work one to one with a child with challenging behaviour?

The role

I am looking for a Teaching Assistant to work on a one-to-one basis with a child in KS2 who has behavioural issues. The school I am working with is based in Romford and has excellent transport links. They have a strong belief that all children thrive in an environment in which they are happy, challenged and secure. This is a catholic school, therefore a warm sense of faith runs throughout the community. The successful teaching assistant will feel comfortable and supported in their role and encouraged to reach their full potential as a Teaching Assistant

This particular child possesses quite severe behavioural issues, therefore, the Teaching Assistant should be prepared to respond appropriately to challenging behaviour and ready to react appropriately to difficult situations.

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate for this role would be a Teaching Assistant experienced in dealing with challenging behaviour. The Teaching Assistant should be warm, friendly and able to form good relationships with children as well as having a genuine passion for the job. As a successful Teaching Assistant, you should be a positive role model for all and always be promoting good behaviour.
