I am working with an amazing school in West Molesey who are seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 student who has a diagnosis of autism. The student is generally well-behaved however the 1:1 Teaching Assistant will need to provide a firm steer in the right direction alongside frequent prompting and support.

What you’ll get as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant

  • The ability to build a strong rapport between students and staff is essential as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant.
  • The ability to focus students and push them in the right direction.
  • A 1:1 Teaching Assistant must be determined to make a difference to children’s lives and act as a positive role model to all students.
  • The ability to adapt to and overcome situations whilst following appropriate protocol is a must when working as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant.
