Are you a SEND Teacher looking for a new and exciting position, or a mainstream Teacher seeking a new and rewarding career working within SEND?

We are working with a fantastic school in South East London Borough of Southwark to fill the position of SEND Teacher, leading a class of students with a diagnosis of Autism - ASC. In this role, you will based at one of two sites, nearby to each other in Southwark, working with students ages 4 to 16 doing activities and play-based learning. You will have access to incredible training and support at the school, alongside work with various professionals such as therapists and SEN TAs.

The feedback staff give at the school is that it is incredibly friendly, with most of the staff being friends outside of the school. Requirements of an Autism Nurture Teacher:

  • SEND qualifications or experience
  • To work and support students with a diagnosis of Autism through play-based and activity-based learning
  • To observe, assess and support students in their personal and educational development
  • To work alongside Management, SENCO’s and other faculty
  • To be prepared to offer advice to parents and work with them to support their child.
