Autism Practitioner - £400 - £500 Weekly PAYE

London Borough of Redbridge

Immediate Start

Are you an experienced Autism Practitioner?

Have you worked with PMLD and Complex Needs?

Do you have a bubbly personality and a passion for supporting young people?

I am working with an exceptional specialist SEN primary school in Redbridge who are seeking an Autism Practitioner to join their passionate and hard-working team. The SEN school caters for students between 3-11 years who are unable to access mainstream education due to a diagnosis of ASD and associated complex needs.

I have visited this school and was truly amazed at how welcoming and supportive the team are. The students love coming to school and it was a heart-warming experience, seeing how the staff interact and make learning a fun experience. You will be supported by a multi-disciplinary team; from Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, SEN and Behaviour Specialists. When you join as an Autism Practitioner, you will also be paired with a ‘buddy’ on your first few weeks to ensure you settle in.

The ideal Autism Practitioner

  • Has experience working with autism, SLCN, non-verbal students and associated complex needs
  • Team Teach Trained preferred
  • Knowledge of PECS/Makaton
  • Can manage challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner – intervention/restraint training is beneficial
  • Can build and maintain relationships with staff and students
  • Will go above and beyond to change the lives of young people
