Job Title: Autism Practitioner

Location: Ealing

Setting : ASD School, Primary and Secondary

Salary: £85 - £90 per day - PAYE

Job Type: Full-time, Temporary - Permanent

This ASD School is a well-established school with an outstanding Ofsted rating. The school has amazing facilities and has a fantastic staffing structure with clear career progression and ongoing training provided to all staff. As a result, we are seeking passionate Autisim Practitioner to support our students across the primary and secondary sites.

Responsibilities:

• Work with teachers to plan and implement classroom activities that promote academic, social and emotional development.

• Support students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to encourage their learning and development.

• Promote positive behaviour and attitudes towards learning and help to maintain a safe and secure learning environment.

• Communicate with parents, teachers and other staff members to ensure that students receive the support they need.

Requirements:

• You should be passionate about supporting children with autism and have experience of working with them in a school environment - although personal experience is also just as important

• You should have a relevant qualification or experience (NVQ level 2 or 3 in Childcare or equivalent), and hold an enhanced DBS check.

• You should be able to demonstrate excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.

• You should be caring, patient and be able to adapt to the needs of the students.
