Do you have a passion and talent for supporting children and young people with social, emotional and mental health disorders?
Do you have experience working as a Secondary Behaviour/Learning Mentor with young people who cannot attend mainstream school and have a background of behavioural challenges?
I am working with a well-established PRU in the London Borough of Redbridge, who are seeking a strong Behaviour Mentor to join their expanding team. The PRU caters for KS3 and KS4 students who have been, or are at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream education. In addition to this, students present with additional needs such as autism, ADHD and associated learning difficulties.
Behaviour Mentor requirements
- Experience of working with young people with challenging behaviour and ASD, Even if your experience is informal/voluntary, I want to hear from you! The children you will support will have a variety of needs which can include significant complex behaviour challenges and sometimes associated SEND.
- Learning Mentor / Youth Worker experience / Behaviour Mentor
- Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships
- A passion for working with SEND is essential
