At PS Inclusion we are working with an ‘Outstanding’ school in Ealing who are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Behaviour Mentor to provide support for the most susceptible young people in London. The school provides for those with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and a number of children even have dual diagnosis of autism. Some of the young people may also have suffered severe trauma and require the maximum level of support from the amazing team made up of teachers, social workers, and support staff.

 

Behaviour Mentor Requirements:

  • Genuine passion for working with young people who require additional support
  • Previous experience working with Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties and learning difficulties, or experience with SEMH, trauma, sensory processing, social communication
  • Ability to build and secure profound relationships
  • Deeper understanding of nurture principles and trauma informed teaching

 

What can you expect as a Behaviour Mentor?

  • Extensive formal weekly training into trauma education
  • For budding teachers/social workers or other staff members, it’s a chance to gain some vital experience for your chose career path
  • The opportunity to use your initiative and training to respond calmly in challenging situations
  • Up to £21,000 (term time only)

 

PAY

  • Long-term contracts are available for those who are looking for immediate work. We understand that pay is extremely important, and it must be clear and simple! For that reason, we have chosen to pay our staff via PAYE only. Quoted rates are gross pay and your pay will never involve employer's NI deductions or admin fees
  • Just as roles vary, so will the remuneration, depending on the role requirements and your experience. You will often see these roles advertised as daily rates, please note that we pay PAYE only, please bear in mind that all school-based work will be term time only
