Behaviour Mentor- SEMH School – Immediate start

Do you want to make a difference to the lives of children and young people who have additional learning needs and mental health disorders?

Are you able to deal with challenging behaviour?

I am currently closely working with an excellent school based in Greenwich who are looking for a passionate behaviour mentor to start immediately. At this school, they specialise in SEMH, ASD/ADHD, offering a safe, stimulating, and safe environment for every pupil. I am looking to find a candidate who has a true passion for working within this sector and wants to make a huge difference to the children’s lives.

Behaviour Mentor requirements

  • Essential - A real passion for SEMH/SEND.
  • Beneficial - Experience of working with Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties and learning difficulties, or experience with SEMH, trauma, social communication
  • Essential - Able to build strong meaningful relationships with the students.
  • Essential - Able to deal with challenging behaviour.

What you can expect as a Behaviour Mentor

  • Suitable role for aspiring Pastoral Workers, Teachers, Child Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, SALTs, Counsellors, and Social Workers, these positions will offer relevant and vital experience for your chosen career path.
  • As a behaviour Mentor, you will be able to have a positive impact on some of the most vulnerable children lives.
  • You will be able to build; further your experience within SEMH/SEND.
  • You will be expected to work professionally and calmly in challenging situations.
