We are looking for a SEN Class Teacher with recent and successful class teaching experience and has high expectations of what children and young people with profound / severe learning disabilities and autism can achieve.

About the School

The school warmly welcomes students of all ages (3-19) with Severe/Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and/or disabilities (SLD/PMLD), as well as those on the Autistic spectrum (ASD) with complex needs. It consists of both the School and Hill campuses, each tailored to meet the unique needs of our learners.

At the heart of our ethos is a commitment to placing the child front and centre in all that we do. We take pride in fostering a nurturing environment where every student can thrive.

Our curriculum is designed to offer exceptional opportunities for growth and development. Regardless of their background, students have access to a range of enriching experiences that support their physical, social, and emotional well-being, both within and beyond the school.

The Ideal Complex Needs Teacher

  • The school is seeking a teacher with recent and successful class teaching experience.
  • They value high expectations for what children and young people with profound/severe learning disabilities and autism can achieve.
  • While prior experience in teaching pupils with these needs, particularly in a special school, would be beneficial, they warmly welcome teachers from mainstream backgrounds.
  • The school provides ample support and experience to help teachers from all walks of education succeed within their school community.

What we are looking for is the right person with the desire to change our children’s lives for the better – we look forward to hearing from you!
