I am working with an outstanding SLD school in the borough of Surbiton which is seeking a Disability Support Worker, with some experience in PMLD/SLD, to join their ambitious community and support the pupils’ academic journeys. All pupils receive a safe, stimulating and challenging curriculum which is focused on the needs and potential of each individual pupil, where all achievements are celebrated. They aim to provide a holistic curriculum incorporating an understanding of and focus on mental health and wellbeing, driven by pupils’ individual needs, promoting tolerance and respect for others, that promotes a joy of learning and independence.

  • The ideal Disability Support Worker is passionate about supporting vulnerable students with complex needs and helping them reach their full potential.
  • Is emotionally resilient and can adapt to challenging environments and situations.
  • Disability Support Worker must be confident with personal care as it is a necessity for this role.
  • Experience isn’t necessary, but passion, engagement and nurture are essential.
