About the School and Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity
The small and friendly SEN school is based in Kingston and has an inclusive ethos and a warm and supportive staff team.
As an ASD Teaching Assistant, you will support children in early years and primary who have Autism/ASC, complex needs and a wide range of learning difficulties. Many students use minimal verbal language; whilst the child doesn't normally present with challenging behaviour, you will need to be proactive and engaging. The role will be to support the child for the rest of the academic year.
Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant requirements
- Passionate about supporting students with SEND
- Ideally some EYFS experience
- Committed to personal development and learning specialist skills
- Proactive and flexible
- Ability to be a team player and build rapport quickly
- Ideally a Graduate or someone with previous SEN experience either formal or informal
