We are working on behalf of a forward-thinking school to recruit an experienced Nurture Teacher to join their dedicated team. This opportunity offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils with special educational needs across KS3 and KS4.
The Nurture Teacher Role Includes:
Pastoral responsibility for a group of pupils, ensuring their intellectual, emotional, and physical needs are met.
Delivering a stimulating and differentiated curriculum tailored to individual needs.
Liaising with families, health professionals, and support staff to promote a collaborative, multi-professional approach.
Supervising and managing support staff in the classroom.
Key Requirements as a Nurture Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with at least two years’ experience.
Proven experience working with pupils with SEND, including those with Autism/ASC, emotional and behavioural challenges.
A strong understanding of SEND legislation and curriculum strategies.
Demonstrable skills in creative teaching that engage and motivate pupils.
Nurture Teacher Desirable Skills:
Leadership experience in SEND or curriculum development.
Ability to inspire and collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals.
Primary-trained teachers are encouraged to apply, as this Nurture Teacher model transfers very well to the primary model.
