Are you a graduate interested in a rewarding role in Education, Psychology or supporting those with additional needs and being a role model?

We are working with a range of fantastic schools in the London borough of Lambeth to find Graduate Teaching Assistants to support students with additional needs. With different opportunities available to work with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health, students with Autism, Students removed from mainstream education, SEND Provisions in mainstream schools and students with other needs. These opportunities are long-term roles and would see you working in a single school of your choosing 5 days a week.

The Ideal Graduate Teaching Assistant

  • Completed Psychology, Criminology, or any other relevant degree
  • Experience in working with children and young people with SEN
  • Have a genuine desire to build a career around Special Educational Needs
  • Experience working with a child with Autism and/or complex needs
  • Aspiring SEN Teacher, Educational Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, and many more!

Duties, times, and training depend on the school and role you choose. However, you will do a trial day before deciding where you want to stay. This means you will be in the best position for yourself, doing what you are looking for work-wise and gaining the experience that is most valuable for what you're pursuing in your career. You will build bonds with students, provide guidance to them, and support them within a classroom environment.
