Graduate Teaching Assistant - Essex - Colchester
Do you have a passion and talent for supporting children and young people who cannot access mainstream education due to their social, emotional and mental health.
I am actively seeking an engaging and passionate Graduate Teaching Assistant to work in a SEMH specialist school that provides education to children who are unable to be educated in a mainstream school due to behaviour difficulties. I am looking to speak to professional and committed Behaviour Mentors to work in a SEMH setting in the Colchester area The role is working within the secondary department supporting behaviour and learning in class settings.
Even if your experience is informal/voluntary, I want to hear from you! The children you will support will have a variety of needs which can include significant complex behaviour challenges.
Graduate Teaching Assistant requirements:
● Experience of working with young people with SEMH, Autism, behavioural issues, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication
● Learning Mentor/ Youth Worker experience -SEMH Teaching Assistant
● Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships
● A passion for working with SEND is essential
