KS1 SEMH Teacher - Ealing

Are you enthusiastic about teaching students with social, emotional, and mental health disorders?

Are you a Qualified KS1 Teacher with experience in SEMH settings, or are you currently teaching in mainstream and seeking a transition into an SEND setting?

About the School:

We are searching for a KS1 Teacher for a specialist SEMH school based in Ealing. This school caters to students who are unable to access mainstream education.

We support educational providers that cater to children and young people who, for various reasons, cannot access any other formal educational settings. These students are among the most vulnerable, at-risk, and hard-to-reach in our community. Understanding their SEMH needs is crucial before any academic development can take place. We are seeking individuals who can make a positive impact in these roles.

What We Are Looking For:

A therapeutic teaching approach Primary specialist with phonics experience Experience in teaching with emotional regulation and employing positive behaviour/de-escalation strategies A positive role model to support communication, with a sensitive, nurturing, and consistent approach Experience with SEMH, trauma, sensory processing, and social communication teaching background Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with vulnerable students Experience working with disengaged teenagers is essential

Although this role typically requires QTS/QTLS, we welcome applications from all Teachers, regardless of qualifications Passion to teach and inspire young people during a crucial stage of their personal and academic development A nurturing, patient, empathetic, and holistic approach While experience teaching in SEMH specialist settings is beneficial, we also encourage individuals interested in entering SEND settings to apply
