I am actively seeking engaging and passionate Learning Support Assistants for schools that provide education to children with a diagnosis of ASD I am looking to speak to professional and committed Learning Support Assistants to work in a mainstream setting in east london.
Even if your experience is informal/voluntary, I want to hear from you! The children you will support will have a variety of needs which can include significant complex behaviour challenges and sometimes associated SEND.
Learning Support Assistant
We are looking for Learning Support Assistants for a mainstream primary school based in East London, they are looking for a Learning Support Assistant with experience with Autism and ideally have used PECs and Makaton previously, this role would be perfect for any aspiring speech and language therapists looking to gain further experience in an educational setting
Learning Mentor requirements:
- Experience of working with young people with SEND and/or Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties and learning difficulties or experience with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication
- Learning Support Assistant/ Youth Worker experience
- Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships
- A passion for working with SEND is essential
- Experience using PECs or Makaton
