Contract – Full time
Pay £130-£200 per day PAYE

I am working with a Pioneering Pupil referral unit who are looking for an experienced Literacy lead who is ready for their next challenge and ready to help their students grow, develop, and support each childs’ success as they progress onto future education provision and adult life working alongside the senior management and management committee.
The Literacy Lead Role
- As the Literacy Lead you will be in charge of the development and implementation of schools policy for Literacy
- As a Literacy Lead you will have to work collaboratively with colleagues across the sites you will be providing advice and guidance to colleagues across the Newham PRUs to ensure best practice and consistency throughout.
- As The Literacy Lead you will provide training and guidance to staff and support the development of the teaching and intervention across the curriculum,
- As the Literacy Lead you will have to carry out other duties which would be assigned by the Headteacher
The ideal Literacy Lead
- The ideal Literacy Lead would have experience working in a PRU or similar setting
- The Literacy Lead would have experience in training staff and coordinating the pupils’ curriculum
- As the Literacy Lead you will require flexibility and resilience to be able to manage the demanding environment of working in a SEBD setting
