Math's Teacher – SEMH School - September Start - Part Time 

  • Do you have a passion for teaching students with Special Educational Needs, such as Social, Emotional, and Mental Health?
  • Are you gifted in keeping disengaged students interested during their studies?
  • We are hiring a Math Teacher in South West London to work with neuro-diverse students starting September 2022

Responsibilities as a Math Teacher

  • Deliver the curriculum to all students, adjusting the material should it be necessary to suit specific needs.
  • Responsibility for creating and preparing lessons.
  • You will be accountable for the attainment and progress of pupils progress.
  • Establish a safe, purposeful and stimulating environment, keeping the school’s core value of mutual respect at the forefront.

Essential Criteria for Math Teachers

  • Previous experience of working with emotional regulation and with positive behaviour/de-escalation strategies.
  • It is compulsory you hold (or have in the process) valid QTS/QTLS.
  • Qualification to the equivalent of degree level in a specialist subject or a related subject
  • You enjoy using a therapeutic approach to teaching.
  • Experience with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, and social communication teaching background.
