  • Job type: Mental Health Teacher - Full-Time
  • Start date: ASAP or Spring/September 2024
  • Salary: £30,000 - £51,000 per annum - Dependent on experience

Job Overview:

An incredible opportunity has arisen for an experienced Teacher to join a specialised school based in Croydon. The school provides tailored education and support to young people aged 5-16 who face Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties and have an EHCP in place. As a class Teacher, you will play an integral role in supporting the student's progression and providing exceptional care to all students.   • Work alongside a team of dedicated teachers, inspiring a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with the Headteacher and other key staff to help shape the direction of the school and ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning.
  • Ensure an inclusive learning environment that caters to the unique needs of students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs and additional needs.
  • To guide in developing and managing the teaching and learning of key student groups
  • To perform teaching duties and other assigned tasks as directed by the Headteacher
  • Support with the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children


  • Qualified teacher status and special education needs experience- Experience in a specialist or mainstream school is welcome.
  • A track record of outstanding teaching and a deep understanding of best practices in special education
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with staff
  • A desire for continuous professional development in special education
