We are working in partnership with a therapeutic SEMH school located in the London Borough of Ealing. The school is looking for a qualified and creative Post 16 Teacher to join their supportive and dedicated team. This is a full-time permanent role and to start ASAP.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Ideally has teaching experience in a SEN school or similar setting
  • Must have experience teaching children and young people with special needs, particularly with SEMH or Autism/ASC
  • Have knowledge of the National Curriculum and how to apply to teaching in a SEN school setting
  • A positive, proactive and patient individual who has a can-do attitude and is willing to learn
  • A team player and has great communication skills
  • Being able to build up good working relationships with pupils and staff

Main Responsibilities:

  • Teaching young people with complex SEMH and Autism/ASC
  • Planning, preparing and delivering learning activities as well as monitoring and Demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills and creativity
  • Being committed to the development and delivery of high-quality relationships with pupils, their families and local communities
  • Identifying the pupils’ needs and interests and incorporating life skills using a primary teaching model
  • Providing work experience in the local communities to promote the pupils’ independence and self-confidence
  • Encouraging children to reach their potential and promoting safeguarding and social well-being

The school will provide extensive training and CPD for their staff members.
