Nurture Teacher

East London

Inner London Teachers Pay Scale

September 2024 or sooner!

Are you an experienced and qualified Teacher looking for a new challenge or career progression teaching young people with special educational needs?

I am interested in speaking to teachers across London who have a passion for working with vulnerable children with complex SEMH needs/disorders and ASD. Roles will start in September 2024 or sooner on a full-time basis, both long-term and permanent.

Brief Overview;

  • Nurture Teacher – Primary and secondary roles available
  • Teacher pay scale
  • Location: London
  • SEN Specialist Schools, Alternative Provisions (Aps), Pupil Referral Units (PRUs), SEMH schools for Complex SEMH and autism - ages 7-18
  • Roles to start immediately and from September
  • Ability to engage children with SEND is essential

About the role of Nurture Teacher:

As a Nurture Teacher based in these highly complex settings, you will be responsible for delivering creative and engaging lessons for small groups of 4 to 8 children, depending on the school. Working as a Nurture teacher requires a holistic approach, focusing on the whole child, academic development is only possible when you address the primary need first. You will work with the school's multidisciplinary therapy team, helping students find ways to do the things they need and want to do. These opportunities will suit teachers who have a passion and natural ability to engage hard to reach pupils and those with strong classroom presence. You will engage the children and young people within the school in innovative, therapeutic, and meaningful activities, supporting them in learning to help them reach their full potential.

Requirements for Nurture Teacher:

  • Ideally hold QTS or QTLS or have relevant experience as a Teacher

  • Experience working with highly vulnerable children is beneficial, but we want to hear from all teachers interested in SEN

If you are interested in hearing more, please apply now! Or you can email Katie at Parker Smith on katie@psinclusion.co.uk
