I am working with an Independent Specialist School in Ealing who are looking for positive and adaptable Nurture Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This role requires someone who can react quickly and effectively to challenges whilst maintaining an optimistic attitude

Independent Specialist Day School

  • The school hours are 8:30-4pm (Mon-Fri)
  • A school for Key stage 2 - Key stage 5 students who are unable to access mainstream education due to their additional needs
  • A very challenging behaviour based setting with students that require mentoring, emotional regulation and nurturing
  • All students have an EHCP – SEMH, ASC and Challenging Behaviours  
  • Individualised programmes for every child, which support their transition into the school environment

What to expect - Nurture Teaching Assistant

  • A long term contract, working for the whole academic year with the prospects of becoming a permanent member of staff
  • You will be expected to ensure all students receive an inclusive education through the use of state of the art facilities such as, a large number of specialist classrooms including an art, counselling and therapy room, an internal learning support unit, a food technology kitchen and a large gym/assembly hall
  • A highly suitable role for someone with a creative background or anyone wanting a change with new challenges
  • Have the ability to make a huge social impact, as a Nurture Teaching Assistant you could change the path of someone’s life!
  • To work closely with Multi-disciplinary therapy teams

Who we are looking for - Nurture Teaching Assistant

  • Experience working with children and young people with SEMH, ASC and Challenging behaviour is desirable
  • Excellent and proven behaviour management skills - *Essential 
  • Have a genuine desire to build a career around Special Educational Needs!
  • Proactive and Independent 
  • Can react to challenges quickly and effectively whilst maintaining an optimistic mindset
  • Excel at building trusting relationships with both staff and students
