Are you passionate about therapeutic education, the outdoors and animals?

Interested in a school that operates outdoors come rain or shine?

About This Unique Outdoor School:

This school is a small (but growing) specialist outdoor SEMH school, the school caters to students with social, emotional, mental health issues and associated needs. All of the learning takes place outside, supporting highly vulnerable pupils thus an empathy and understanding of dysregulated behaviours and taking a trauma informed approach is vital. With maximum 24 young people and 12 on roll presently and expecting 18 in September. Set on acres of green space and they have all kinds of animals from horses to snakes. The school offers bespoke career and education pathways, including BTEC in Animal Care, Sport, and Business Studies. They use nature and the outdoors to teach core subjects e.g teaching fractions by measuring animal feed. Their passionate team includes Outdoor SEMH teachers and therapists who integrate therapy into the educational programs. Their students have quite often suffered trauma, so the need for a nurturing and therapeutic setting is of utmost importance to their development.
