Mainstream Primary School in Havering seeking a Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant

PAYE only

I am actively searching for a Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in Havering. The role involves working with children with speech, language and communication difficulties and other learning difficulties. When working with children with SEN, it is important to find ways to engage and break through barriers in communication with children and this role requires a resilient and determined individual to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children. It is difficult for children who have trouble communicating their needs and can be frustrating for them - the ideal candidate understands that empathy is key.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience with young children (professional or personal)
  • Dedication to supporting young children with SEN.
  • Comfortable and willing to do personal care of children with SEN.
  • Empathy towards the challenges facing children with language and communication difficulties.
