I am actively recruiting a SEMH/SEN Teaching Assistant for the post-16 classes in an SEMH School in Newham. This school belongs to a group of schools catering for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and requires an adaptable and resilient teacher for their primary class. This school champions an intervention over sanction approach and is committed to supporting students who have been unable to access mainstream education in a supportive and nurturing way. Students are encouraged to learn through their interests and connect to their learning in a way that has previously been inaccessible for them.

- Experience working with vulnerable young people and social emotional and mental health problems.
- Passion for supporting students with challenging behaviour and implementing positive behaviour and boundaries.
- A nurturing, caring and empathetic approach to vulnerable young people.
- Trauma-informed approach
- Brilliant communication skills
