Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant| Primary School | Key Stage 2

About the School and Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity

The small and friendly primary school is based in Islington in a diverse and vibrant area.  The school have an excellent track record of training teachers and have a wonderful and supportive SLT. 

As a Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant you will support a child in year 3 with autism. The student is very active and they require a Teaching Assistant to support their learning and behaviour. You will support the student both in class and also providing 1:1 work outside of the classroom. The role would suit a passionate and dedicated primary SEN Teaching Assistant who can support the child to regulate their behaviour and enable them to access the curriculum. 

Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant requirements

  • Passionate about supporting students with SEND
  • Previous experience supporting autism 
  • Good understand of behaviour strategies 
  • Committed to personal development and learning specialist skills
  • Proactive and flexible
  • Ability to be a team player and build rapport quickly
  • Ideally a Graduate or someone with previous SEN experience either formal or informal
