School Administrator

Location: Hackney

Salary: £100 per day PAYE (as a temp member of staff) 

Temp – Perm basis

About the School

Parker Smith is working with an SEMH school based in Hackney, working with children and young people aged between the ages of 7 and 17 all with SEMH needs. The school provides a safe learning environment for children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs including autism and an EHC Plan. Offering as close to a mainstream experience as possible but provide the additional care and support needed around each young person to enable them to thrive.

About you

  • The ideal School Administrator MUST have experience working in a school setting
  • You should have the can-do attitude and great eye for detail
  • Ideally you should have a DBS on the update service 
  • As the school administrator, you should have an excellent telephone manner as you will be expected to take any calls that come in to the school
  • As the School Administrator you should have a flexible can-do attitude and have an organised approach.
  • As the School Administrator, You will have experience in managing a H.R. database, keeping policies and training records up to date and providing comprehensive admin support to the senior Team.

About the role

As a School Administrator, you will be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do. You will provide support in the monthly payroll returns, reports, be involved in regular auditing and be the first point of call for parents and visitors. You will be involved in stock management, support attendance management, as well and attending and minuting meetings as required.

  • Temp to perm basis, this contract will be term time only with the potential of going permanent 
  • Job duties: answering calls, managing reception, meet and greet visitors, managing SLT diaries, managing pupils medication
