School Receptionist – Greenwich – Permanent contract – ASAP start

Salary: £18,000-£22,000 p/a (depending on experience)

 

Are you an experienced School Receptionist, looking for a new challenge with a supportive and friendly team?

Do you have experience managing the reception function of a busy school? Or do you have prior receptionist/customer service experience in a similar industry/sector?

Are you keen to transfer your current experience as a School Receptionist to a new role? Or maybe you have a background working in schools and looking to work in a SEND environment?

This is a large SEND school in Greenwich with a busy reception area. They are currently seeking a full-time School Receptionist to join their close knit and friendly team! As the hub of the school, the School Receptionist is an essential team member who will be the face/voice of the school and will form an integral part of the support team.

What do you need to be our School Receptionist?

 

We are looking for someone who is able to provide the highest level of professionalism at all times, while helping with the smooth running of the school reception. You will need to show initiative, work well with a team of talented SEND professionals, as well as provide a professional and empathetic service to parents and students. The school is looking for someone with a passion for providing a consistently first-class customer experience; at this school, you are not ‘just the receptionist’ you are and integral cog in their well-oiled team! The ideal candidate would have previous experience in a school and be familiar with communicating with parents and children with a wide range of additional needs, use of SIMs would be highly beneficial. We also want to hear from those who have a background in offering first class customer service, possess a good work ethic and are eager to learn.

 

Ultimately, the successful candidate should be enthusiastic, a strong team player and share the school’s passion for delivering work of the highest standard.

 

What to expect as a School Receptionist:

  • 35 hour working week Monday-Friday 8.30am-4.30pm.
  • Join a caring and experienced school office team
  • Salary is negotiable based on experience

Responsibilities include:

  • Communicating effectively with visitors to the reception and those calling by telephone to ensure high levels of care
  • Booking in and managing appointments and procedures for Senior staff
  • Booking in and managing school diary
  • Managing email enquiries
  • Ability to juggle multiple jobs and handle all communication with professionalism and empathy

 

 

The school is easily accessed via public transport links, with ample parking facilities.
