Position: Science Tutor / Teacher
Location: Wandsworth, South West London
Contract: Full-time, Fixed-term (Maternity Cover)
Start Date: June 2024
Salary: £24,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience
The school is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment tailored to the unique needs of students on the Autism spectrum and associated learning difficulties. I would like to speak with an experienced Science Tutor / Teacher to join our incredible school on a full-time basis for maternity cover, starting in June 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging science lessons to students with Autism and associated learning difficulties.
- Teaching children and young people ages between 11 and 19
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students in the classroom.
- Implement effective strategies to support student progress and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
Requirements:
- Must have experience teaching science up to GCSEs
- Experience teaching students with Autism and associated learning difficulties is essential.
- Strong knowledge of the science curriculum and effective teaching practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
