Are you looking to work with a friendly and supportive team in a fantastic Mainstream Secondary School?

Do you have experience working with a school setting supporting pupils with Autism and ADHD?

I am now working with a fantastic school in the London Borough of Lewisham whose core values recognise the importance of The Arts and creativity. They are now looking for supportive and resilient Secondary School 1:1 TA to join their wonderful team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants to join a Secondary School working to have a hugely positive effect on the lives of pupils with Autism and Special Educational Needs.

This role requires someone with a strong understanding of Autism and ADHD who believes that all challenging behaviour is a form of communication. You will be working to support a pupil with Autism and ADHD.

Requirements of a Secondary School 1:1 TA:

  • Previous experience working as an SEN Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant within a Secondary School would be highly valued
  • Previous experience working with Autism and ADHD would be highly valued, and a strong understanding of Autism and ADHD is essential 
  • Previous experience working to support secondary age pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • A friendly and positive person with a resilient personality
  • This role would really suit someone who is professional, responsible, creative, and who would be an excellent role model
