SENCO - Mainstream Secondary School with Specialised SEN Classes - Greenwich - Temp to Perm - Potentially straight to permanent for relevant experience

UPS plus TLR 

Are you a dedicated and experienced SENCO looking for a new challenge? We are working with a thriving mainstream secondary school located in the vibrant community of Greenwich, and we are currently seeking a dynamic and passionate SENCO to join their team.

SENCO Job Role 

As SENCO, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the school provides the highest quality of education for all our students, including those with special educational needs and disabilities. You will work closely with the teachers and support staff to identify and support children who require additional assistance, and you will develop and implement strategies to enable them to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record as a SENCO with experience of working with children with SEN, and will have a deep understanding of the SEND Code of Practice. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and will be able to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including parents, outside agencies and other professionals.

**NASENCO not required but for those taking on the permanent contract there is an expectation that you are willing to qualify in the next 2 years. 

Experience supporting KS3 students and students with dyslexia would be highly valued for this role. 

About the mainstream primary school seeking a SENCO

The school is fantastic secondary school with specialist classes for children with more complex needs. Students are not withdrawn from lessons unless they are attending a specialist intervention. All staff, including teachers and teaching assistants, are made aware of students’ needs and provided with appropriate advice and support strategies from the SEND team.
