PAY: Outer London pay scale with SEN point

Would you like to join a growing team in a brand new school that opened in 2023?

 

The SEMH School

This is a very unique opportunity to join a school at the very beginning of their journey. This school opened in September 2023, and as such, they have a fantastic opportunity for a Teacher to join them at a crucial stage of their development.

The school cater for children KS2 – KS4 who all have SEMH needs. They have a brand new, purpose-built building, with some specific classrooms dedicated to vocational subjects.

Behaviour at this school can be challenging, however there is a great team of staff that make resolving challenging situations easier!

 

Responsibilities of an SEMH Teacher

  • Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH challenges.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate individual learning styles and provide tailored support for each student.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social and emotional growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and external professionals to create comprehensive intervention plans.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback to students and their families.

 

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Specialised training or experience in SEMH education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Passion for making a difference in the lives of students with SEMH challenges.
