About the school

This school is committed to providing exceptional education and assistance to students with special educational needs (SEN), especially those with Autism/ASC and related learning difficulties. Their aim is to create an inclusive and supportive environment that caters to the unique requirements of every student.

Currently, we are searching for a One-to-One Teaching Assistant who can offer individualised support to a teenage girl diagnosed with Autism (ASC) and Non-Epileptic Attack Disorder (NEAD). Due to the pandemic's difficulties, she has been unable to access education and requires someone who can provide tailored support to help her re-engage with learning. Your job will require you to create a trusting and supportive connection with her, assist her in gaining access to education, and meet her emotional and academic requirements.

Requirements:

  • Strong background and knowledge in SEN, particularly in complex mental health needs
  • Experience working with young people with Autism and related conditions
  • Ability to cultivate a nurturing, patient, and understanding environment
  • Skill in developing meaningful and supportive relationships with students
  • Commitment to ensuring the well-being and academic progress of the student
