SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT

ASAP START

Salary: £400-£450 Per Week PAY (depending on experience)

The role

I am looking for inspirational Teaching Assistants with a love and passion for working with children with complex special educational needs. Working with children with SEN is the most rewarding career, with a guarantee that no two days are ever the same!

This school has the most friendly and welcoming atmosphere; they really do care for all of their staff, and there’s a fantastic sense of community.

This school adopts a creative approach to learning with lots of play based activities to stimulate learning. They also regularly take pupils swimming and take part in other sensory based activities.

The role of an SEN Teaching Assistant is to support learners both inside and outside of the classroom. You should be encouraging, inspiring and an all round positive role model.

Working in SEN can bring with it some challenging behaviour, therefore, it is important that the successful SEN Teaching Assistant is resilient and understanding as to why these challenges may occur.

It is also important that the successful SEN Teaching Assistant is comfortable with personal care. Some students will require assistance with toileting and changing.
