Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs?
We are working with a primary special needs school in Hayes that caters for pupils with severe learning difficulties and profound and multiple learning disabilities. The school has excellent facilities including a hydrotherapy pool and was purpose-built to support children with physical and sensory needs.
The school have an excellent track record of training their Teaching Assistants to become fully qualified teachers and some have even been promoted into management roles.
SEN Teaching Assistant role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting the class teacher in a class of around 8-9 pupils. Each class has around five teaching assistants who work on a rota basis supporting the children with their learning and development.
As part of the SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will assist students with hygiene and toileting needs in assistance with your team. The leadership team encourage personal development for individual staff, this is the perfect opportunity to be creative within your role and make the job your own!
Some of the students may require additional medical support which will give you the opportunity for some more specialist training
