Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Southwark

Salary: £85 - £90 PAYE

Contract Type = Temp to Perm

Would you like a rewarding role that allows you to support students in excelling in a friendly and supportive environment?

 

I am looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a passionate SEN school in London Borough of Southwark.

 

The SEN school boasts a new state of the art specialist building that enables the students to learn and explore with access to the following:

  • A wide circulation space that allows wheelchair users to navigate through the school easily
  • A sensory trail to help visually impaired students
  • A Hydrotherapy and Music room
  • A Physical exploration room

 

The SEN Teaching Assistant will be a vital part of a multidisciplinary team which includes physiotherapists, occupational therapist, speech and language therapists and special school support assistants, who are all working co-cooperatively with the teaching staff to meet the individual needs of the students.

The Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Previous experience working within a school is essential
  • Will have experience supporting a range of SEN students and helping them achieve the most out of their education and development
  • Experience working on a 1:1 basis or in small groups is beneficial
  • Passion for transforming lives and leaving a lasting impact
  • Can adapt to challenges whilst following appropriate protocol
