SEN Teaching Assistant   

Location: Havering

Start Date: ASAP – Long term

PAY: £80-£85 Per day PAYE

The School

This school is small with only 150 students aged between 4-19 and has the most friendly and welcoming atmosphere; they really do care for all of their staff, and there’s a fantastic sense of community.

The role of an SEN Teaching Assistant is to support learners both inside and outside of the classroom. You should be encouraging, inspiring and an all round positive role model. Working in SEN can bring with it some challenging behaviour, therefore, it is important that the successful SEN Teaching Assistant is resilient and understanding as to why these challenges may occur.

It is also important that the successful SEN Teaching Assistant is comfortable with personal care. Some students will require assistance with toileting and changing.
