Mainstream Primary School in East London seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant

PAYE only

I am actively searching for a SEN Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in East London. The role involves working 1:1 with children with speech, language and communication difficulties and other learning difficulties. When working with children with SEN, it is important to find ways to engage and break through barriers in communication with children and this role requires a resilient and determined individual to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children. It is difficult for children who have trouble communicating their needs and can be frustrating for them - the ideal candidate understands that empathy is key.

  • Experience with young children (professional or personal)
  • Dedication to supporting young children with SEN.
  • Empathy towards the challenges facing children with language and communication difficulties.
  • Passion for working in education and continuing a career in an emerging and expanding sector.
