SEN Teaching Assistants – South West London - Merton


We are currently looking for an SEND Teaching Assistant who is willing to work with students 11-19 years old who have been diagnosed with ASD, SLD and/or PMLD. The school in question is a specialist SEND school who specialist in Art. They have incredible facilities that caters to children with many different types of SEN and processing abilities!


Do you have experience supporting children with special educational needs or personal experience with children with SEND?

Do you have experience working with pupils who have an EHCP that require 1:1 learning support?


The school is in need of someone who has experience working with some any type of SEND and someone who is willing to do personal care and hydrotherapy with students. You will also need to have a bubbly personality and be willing to get creative! 


SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements

 ● Experience of working with children/young people with Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties and learning difficulties, mental health issues speech and communication difficulties or personal experience

● Learning Support / Teaching Assistant experience

 ● Proactive, flexible and willing approach

● Ability to build rapport with disengaged students

● Patience and understanding of the difficulties surrounding children’s return to school
