Location: Barking, London

Contract Type: Permanent

Start Date: September 2024

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000

Are you a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) seeking an exciting opportunity in a dynamic educational environment? I am working with a leading mainstream secondary school in Barking with a specialised SEN provision. They are searching for an innovative SENCO with great experience to support their children with SEND.

The Role:

As SENCO, you will play a crucial role in leading and coordinating the provision for students with Special Educational Needs. You will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure that all students receive the necessary support to access the curriculum and participate fully in school life.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead and manage the SEN provision within the school.

· Work closely with teachers to implement effective strategies to support students with SEN.

· Coordinate and oversee the assessment and identification of students with SEN.

· Collaborate with parents, external agencies, and other stakeholders to provide a holistic support system.

· Ensure that the school's SEN policy is effectively implemented and monitored.

Requirements:

· Qualified teacher status (QTS)

· NASENCO Qualification

· In-depth knowledge of SEN policies, practices, and the latest educational developments.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to lead and inspire a team of dedicated professionals.
