SEND Education Settings

We are looking for a qualified specialist Teacher for a beautiful PRU setting in Merton! This is a really unique opportunity to work in an excellent and therapeutic based setting where your skills can grow and progress. The students will be aged 5-18 with some challenging behaviour. The school has a wonderful and supportive SLT and are hoping to find someone who is passionate and committed to the role they play in the students lives!

Understanding their needs is essential in these roles and we are seeking individuals who can make a positive impact personally before any academic development can happen.

What We Are looking for

  • Therapeutic teaching approach
  • Experience of teaching with emotional regulation and with positive behaviour/de-escalation strategies
  • Positive role model to support communication, with a sensitive, nurturing, and consistent approach
  • Experience with any type of SEND, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication teaching
  • Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with vulnerable students
  • Experience of working with disengaged teenagers is essential.

  • Although some of our teaching roles require QTS/QTLS we want to hear from all Teachers no matter what your qualification is!

Although experience teaching in SEND specialist settings is beneficial I would also love to hear from individuals who are interested in taking their first steps into SEND settings.
