September - SEND Graduate Teaching Assistant - Tower Hamlets

Here at Parker Smith Inclusion, I am looking for Graduates that are aspiring Teachers with a passion for SEND and are located or can get to the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. As a SEND Specialist Consultancy our main focus is getting the right fit for our schools and our candidates, starting out within Education means you want to be matched to the right school and stay for a long term to get all the experience you need to go on to do your PGCE! 

As a SEND Teaching Assistant you will: 

  • Support students with SEND to progress further within their education goals 
  • Provide personalised support that meets each individual SEND child's needs 
  • Liaise and work well with Teachers and other members of staff to keep the classroom running smoothly 
  • Being involved and suggesting individual learning plans to meet the child's needs 
  • Meet regularly with Teachers and SENCOS to discuss student's progress
  • Liaise with parents and care givers 

Qualifications and Experience

Graduate (Essential) 

  • Psychology or Crimonology (desirable) 
  • Experience with students from diverse backgrounds 
  • English and Maths GCES at grade c or above 
  • An NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) desirable
