Do you have experience mentoring within a school setting and are now looking for an exciting new opportunity?
We’re working with an inspiring, therapeutic organisation that operates across London. With a no-exclusion policy, they provide vital support to some of the hardest to reach, highest-risk, and most vulnerable young people.
This role involves working with young people who may have been out of formal education for several years and are not yet ready to learn in a classroom setting. You will play a crucial part in supporting these young people as they join the organisation, taking responsibility for their induction, assessment, and transition over a two-term period.
The young people you’ll be working with often have SEMH and/or ASC diagnoses, along with complex additional needs. Many are at considerable risk of exploitation or have been exposed to violence and trauma. They need someone who can offer stability, understanding, and a therapeutic approach to help them rebuild trust and confidence. Could that person be you?
This organisation has a strong record of success. Many of the young people they support go on to re-enter full-time education or employment, learn to regulate their emotions, and begin to process their experiences.
